		<description>Good points Susan. My experience has been that virtually every mail host supports IMAP, especially in the smart-phone enabled world. For business users IMAP doesn&#039;t always work though, since data limits kick in at sometimes low levels.</description>

		<description>I totally agree.  I won&#039;t even do business with someone if they have an AOL address.
I do use google to manage some of my social media traffic, but mostly from a personal standpoint. 
As far as access on web-enabled devices, be sure to pick an ISP that has IMAP mail service included at no extra charge.  That way you are in control and the bonus benefit is that there is an extra backup on their server.
Do be sure to still sign up for yourcompany@gmail.com so that you have options in the future and no one else grabs it.
